A Flu Shot Reminder

If you are a member of one of the following groups, you should get a flu shot:

  • People age 50 and older
  • Residents of long-term care facilities
  • People with chronic diseases, including diabetes and asthma
  • Women who are pregnant or will be pregnant during flu season
  • People with weakened immune systems
  • Children ages 6 to 59 months
  • Close contacts of children ages 0 to 59 months
  • Health care workers or family members who come in contact with the above groups

VNA Home Health will offer public clinics for adults throughout the community at senior housing sites, churches, and at the VNA office, located at 50 Foden Road, South Portland. Please call VNA at (207) 780-8624 for information about a flu clinic in your area. Clinics will be scheduled throughout October and November.
