We are proud of our coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to treating people diagnosed with breast cancer. Our team is led by Dr. Melinda Molin who performs only breast surgery. Dr. Molin meets regularly with medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurses and technologists, as well as ancillary staff to review current cancer research including Mercy's participation in clinical trials. Our goal is to empower our patients with information and provide as much support as possible during all phases of your evaluation and treatment.
A dedicated breast surgeon since 1996, Dr. Melinda Molin completed advanced fellowship training in critical care at Hartford Hospital and in trauma surgery at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. Her general surgery training was completed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Brown University. Dr. Molin is the author of several publications relating to trauma and to breast cancer treatment and is a sought after speaker for numerous presentations relating to the treatment of breast cancer.
