Breast milk is the best nutrition for your baby. There are many benefits for your baby, including fewer illnesses, decreased allergies and an enhanced immune system. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends exclusive breast feeding for the first six months of life.
Our Lactation Connection program will support a successful breastfeeding experience for you and your baby. Before delivery we offer an informative class, The Breast Connection, which will review positioning, technique, pumping and common adjustments.
Once you have delivered, our Lactation Consultants are here for inpatient rounds and consults. Once discharged home, we provide follow up telephone calls and outpatient lactation consults as needed.
Support Groups
Breastfeeding support groups for new moms and babies are held each week. A lactation consultant will be on hand to answer your questions. Bring a snack and meet other new moms. We'll also check your babies weight. Support Groups are free! Click here for more information.
