Most of Dr. Pomeroy's surgery takes place at Mercy Hospital. You will need to be ready to participate in scheduled surgery on the first day of your Fellowship. Consequently, you will need to contact Ms.Fredericka Jackson, the Medical Staff Manager at Mercy Hospital. Later, you will interview personally with members of the Credentials Committee, including Dr. Sullivan, another former colleague. This committee will issue a letter and an effective date, which needs to be August 1 at the latest.

Maine Medical Center, the larger of the two Portland hospitals, also requires the Maine Physician's Application, references and an interview with Brad Cushing, M.D., the Chief of Surgery. You will need to bring case logs for Dr. Cushing and anything else he requests. You should call Deb Hall at (207) 871-0111 to better understand what is required and to schedule this appointment.
