The Portland Community Free Clinic is a unique public-private partnership between the City of Portland and Mercy. The clinic's model of care extends beyond the assessment, diagnosis and management of health care to active empowerment of patients for their own well-being through education and referral to programs and services not provided through the Free Clinic. The highest priorities of the Portland Community Free Clinic are to provide low-barrier access to health care services and to create and maintain an atmosphere that instills dignity, trust and respect among its patients.
