Dr. Shannon Meredith
Dr. Shannon M. Meredith was born in Michigan City, Indiana and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in 1988 and went on to the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, both in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed OCPM with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1992 and moved to Hartford, CT to complete a two year Podiatric Surgical Residency. Her residency focused on Forefoot Reconstructive Surgery as well as Sports Medicine/Biomechanics of the Foot & Ankle, and Diabetic Limb Salvage.
Dr. Meredith wanted to pursue her love of boating and the ocean, so she moved to Falmouth, Maine in 1994 and set up her private practice. She has been practicing at Mercy Hospital and Maine Medical Center for the past 14 years in the above specialties. She has now joined New England Foot & Ankle Associates as their Podiatric Surgeon and will begin seeing patients at their new location on the Fore River in early April 2008. Dr. Meredith is Chairwoman of the Board of Licensure of Podiatric Medicine in the State of Maine and is active in the Maine Foot & Ankle Society. She is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She lives in Cumberland with her two daughters and enjoys boating on Casco Bay, snow skiing, and water skiing in her free time.
