As one of the first hospitals to offer private childbearing rooms, we know how important it is to experience labor, delivery, and recovery all in the same room, surrounded by your loved ones. That is why we continue to offer that same service in our new location at Mercy Fore River. You will stay in the same room from the moment you arrive until you take your baby home. The practice is known as LDRP - labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum care all in the same room. The Birthplace is committed to LDRP.
We are also committed to one-on-one nursing care.
During labor and delivery, your highly skilled nurse will take care of you, and only you.
